General waste is predominantly an unavoidable by-product from your business that can drain your resources if not managed professionally. Perth & Kinross Council offers a comprehensive general waste service to all areas within Perth and Kinross. A wide range of containers, labels and sacks are available to suit the amount and type of waste to be disposed of and flexible uplift frequencies are easily accommodated due to the existing network in operation.

Perth & Kinross Council Waste Services team offer a variety of management services for businesses. A waste officer will be able to advise your business on what type of containers and frequency of uplifts would be suitable as well as the costs involved and additional services that are available. These include sales and marketing, waste minimisation advice (to assist in the prevention and reduction of waste) and waste awareness officers to suport businesses in waste initiatives and employee training.

We also have a dedicated telephone helpline team available to answer any questions you may have and offer advice on any queries or changes to your service that your business requires. In addition we can offer flexible payment terms, seasonal and short-term contracts and special uplifts.

By using the Councils advice and support, businesses will be able to reduce their waste disposal costs and minimise the amount of waste produced.

In the past businesses have solely relied on landfill for the disposal of their waste, but now due to the increasing Landfill Tax, varied options are available to cater for different business waste. Perth & Kinross Council also offer kerbside recycling collections of glass, paper, cans cardboard, green waste and Animal By-Products.
