The Little Book Review
The Coming Collapse of the Dollar and How to Profit From It
James Turk & John Rubino

REVIEW BY BRIAN BLACKBURN
In one of my latest book reviews” The future of Money” it predicted the continuing financial instability of the 21st century as being a regular theme as we all get older with less and less stability to predict our savings and pensions. At time of writing I am watching the stock market once again start to ratchet unnervingly backwards under influences of bad loan managers and equally poor banking standards from somewhere on the other side of the planet.
“The Coming Collapse of the Dollar and How to Profit From It” by James Turk & John Rubino was first published in 2004 and on page 194 it says, says “ and stay away from future trouble spots like the shares of consumer finance companies”.
They must have had pretty good crystal balls! I was in Florida USA in February of this year and houses were simply not selling, some UK citizens trying to sell simply gave the keys in to the banks and were walking away. And only a few months later the problem, like some unstoppable virus spreads to the Northern Rock a bastion of Building Societies in the UK.
This book predicted the event three years before it happened so I can say with confidence that the other recommendations that the writers have are worth more than a passing glance and may just help you avoid financial loss in the future and indeed you may be able to prosper from the demise of poor banking management and shady deals done at the “little persons” expense.
They take time to establish the foundations of their theories regarding the dollar and the mechanisms behind the printing of dollars and it’s intrinsic link to gold. Which indeed is what this book focuses on, gold. In times of trouble shares drop and gold price rises, the Lemming Effect. So the answer is simple spread your risks and plan to purchase gold when shares are high and gold is low and build up a balanced portfolio. Purchasing of Gold is really really easy and you don’t even have to hold it in your hands, think it better to do so given the issues that are being uncovered around the globe. Just do a search on Google and you takes your pick.
The Dollar is slowly but inevitably not becoming the choice around the globe of pricing goods and services. The world is wakening up to the extreme fragile nature of printed bank notes without sufficient gold to support the printing numbers. Oil is centralized in countries which generally do not have the USA as top of their invite list, and now fully understand what power they have as the Dollar slides down.
We are just the little people caught in this global piggy bank, which has a whole in it. James Turk & John Rubino go to come lengths to give additional supporting information to give the reader confidence that they really do know what they are talking about.
Check out Chapter 22, is awash with excellent background reading and guides to make the most of what cash you have.
