Welcome to the second magazine, produced by Charlie Taylor Hair Health & Beauty during our celebratory 18th year in business.

What a birthday year this has turned out to be for the company. We have already had the honour and pleasure of coiffing the locks of Tiger Woods during his winning stay at St Andrews during the Open Championship. A couple of weeks later, also in the St Andrews salon, we were delighted to be styling the hair of not just one, but two celebrities when Radio 1's Edith and Colin visited the Fife town as part of their Summer Friday Thing feature.

Just a few months later, we are into autumn, with Christmas fast approaching. For the tenth time, I have been short-listed in the British Hairdressing Awards as Scottish Hairdresser of the Year - I have my fingers and toes all crossed that we will be bringing the accolade back to our salons for the third time after the awards ceremony in November.
