British Hairdressing Hall of Fame entrant, Charlie Taylor, was this year selected as the Official Hair Partner of the 2007 Scottish Fashion Awards, held on Sunday September 9th at the historic Stirling Castle, hosted by top British presenter Jenni Falconer.

The Awards honour Scottish talents who have made a significant contribution to the international fashion industry, whether as a designer, fashion photographer, model, stylist, make-up artist, fashion writer, or fashion marketeer.

Judged by a virtual “who’s who” of leading fashion experts from around the world, the exclusive judging panel is made up of professionals from the world’s leading fashion houses, the most renowned and respected fashion publications and leading figures in style.

Charlie and her creative team were heavily involved in a number of creative shoots leading up to the awards including one with award winning designer Christopher Kane, featuring supermodel Grace Small, and a second with GMTV presenter Jenni Falconer.

Charlie commented, “It was a real honour for our team to be involved with this year’s awards. Major fashion shoots involving the world’s top designers and supermodels are most often kept out of reach for Scottish salons and, as leaders in our field, we were only too happy to be involved.”

On the day of the awards, the organisers took over the Bridge of Allan salon, creating an oasis of calm and serenity amidst the hustle and bustle of that evening’s event preparations. Residents of Bridge of Allan were in a prime position to star spot as a stream of Scotland’s celebrities and supermodels pulled up to the salon and were ushered inside to create some show stopping looks suitable for the throngs of paparazzi already gathering at the entrance to Stirling Castle.

“Our team were heavily involved throughout the run up to and on the day of the awards, with most of the attention focussing on our Bridge of Allan salon. We were responsible for all of the models taking part in the evening’s catwalk show, not to mention ensuring many of the celebrity guests were looking their best for the cameras – the buzz in the salon was fairly amazing and it was also rewarding seeing so many of our styles in the newspapers the very next day!” she concluded.
