Sculptor, Visual Artist, Furniture Maker and Photographer. That's what it says on the business card of Paul Ferguson Cowan.

I received Paul's card when we met at an art exhibition, which displayed some of his works, and with glass of wine in hand, we got chatting.

Paul's work takes him in many directions, from strangely shaped beds and chairs to street fittings, garden ornaments to rescued metal sculptures befitting any surrealists dream!

With such a diverse working range, I wanted to see more, so I visited Paul at his home beside Methven Castle and saw rooms filled with a whole assortment of objects, and a garden strewn with artistic shapes and architectural statues...like something straight out of 'Prisoner' I thought.... great scene though!!

'ANGEL CHAIR' This 'Angel' chair is made from polished steel, is 6 foot high and would look great in any reception room. Everyone who sits on it looks like an angel!!...see Paul above. £750

'MAGAZINE RACK' Honest!!...this IS a magazine rack, well a prototype anyway. You can have your very own finish as well, chromed or powder coated in any colour. You are only limited by your own imagination. £100

On leaving Paul's house and garden, I had to smile when I saw a nearby house with a range of ghastly gnomes in their front lawn. There is no accounting for taste I suppose...but!!!

Anyway, if you are an 'original' thinker, and the 'unique' appeals to you, then perhaps Paul may be worth a call?
