Your Destiny awaits you
by Athole Murray Fleming

I have been aware of Destiny Antiques since they opened, and have watched their progress since, often dropping in with family on the odd occasion. The growth of centres like this in Perthshire, along with farm shops and the like, has really added to the whole weekend day-out trips that we like to take. Working from home as I do, means that I really appreciate the opportunity to get out and visit places like Destiny.
Here are a few objects that caught my eye on a recent visit.
This magnificently large Art Deco vase by Lorna Bailly would make a fantastic finishing touch. Art Deco is not everyone’s ‘cup of tea’ but I like it!
£1,100
There is a huge market for high quality porcelain works like this Lladro ‘Peace and Liberty’ piece. One person’s ornament is another persons dust collector perhaps, but to the right person, this is a simply divine object of desire.
£900
I love stained glass windows; I even had my own one installed in the house last year. This is a hanging piece and would be quite delightful in the right window, and is a great price for such a statement article.
£170
Original paintings are also here at Destiny Antiques and this painting was done by Dundee artist Francis Glancy. All original artworks make great finishing touches.
£770
Destiny Antiques improves every time I visit, and I would recommend that you drop in to see their extensive galleries as soon as you can…your ‘Destiny’ awaits you!!
