Interior design programmes are everywhere on TV these days, and if you have cable or satellite, you can have almost 24 hour, wall to wall ideas crammed into your head. But what do you do with all this information and ideas buzzing around in your head? Buy magazines, that's what. Then what?
For this column I took a trip through to Crieff to meet Dawn Norman who runs her Interior Design and retail shop from 25 Comrie Street. Stepping inside Home & Hound, you are welcomed by Dawn and invited to look around a lovely selection of objects for the home.
Dawn's interior design service helps clients to select the right fabrics, wall coverings, furniture and lighting, one-off pieces plus all the 'tricks of the trade', and is much more fun than flicking through yet another magazine!!

This is a fantastic conversation piece for your hallway or in a corner of the living room. Made from a real wild Scottish Red Deer using the antlers for legs and back support, this is a touch of, shall we say, unusual elegance? Is very comfy and nice to stroke!

This warm hand made silk lampshade with egg shaped lacquered acrylic base simple glows with style and, in the right position will give atmosphere to any room. Using light to accent the 'feel' of a room is an important design element.

Big red charger
How about this massive 1 metre diameter 'charger' for your table (or wall as seen here)? If your table is big enough and you have a passion for fruit, then this is the one for you. Made from lacquered bamboo, "wow" is a reaction that you might get!
